Baraka African Black Soap is authentically handcrafted in Wa, Upper West Region, Ghana using a centuries-old traditional process passed down through generations of local artisan soap makers. The base is shea butter and palm kernel oil, combined with water and traditional potash — a natural lye derived from cocoa pod ash rather than commercial caustic soda. This is what gives authentic Ghanaian black soap its distinctive colour, texture, and properties.

Into every bar, a full suite of ten natural botanical boosters is added after saponification: honey, turmeric, cacao, moringa, neem, hibiscus, baobab, lemongrass, aloe vera, and red palm oil. No synthetic fragrances, colourants, preservatives, or chemical additives are used at any stage. Each bar weighs approximately 125–145g (hand-moulded, so some natural variation is expected and is a mark of authenticity), is individually wrapped and labelled, and has a shelf life of 24+ months when properly stored.
